  Mr. Morton’s work involves patent prosecution in the mechanical, electrical and chemical art fields. He started his career at a U.S. intellectual property firm and thereafter expanded his practice to Japan where he has advised and counseled many of Japan’s largest corporations. With nearly two decades of experience, Mr. Morton has assisted clients in a wide range of technically complex industries to develop robust and valuable portfolios. His Japanese language skills allow him to translate and amend patent claims as well as advise them properly on certain nuances of U.S. patent law.
  Mr. Morton’s diverse technical background has allowed him to rapidly learn new areas of technology and quickly apply such knowledge to develop meaningful patent protection. He uses the team-building tactics he garnered as a football player for an undefeated Ivy League Championship team to carefully listen to his clients’ desires and tailor his advice in accordance with their business and financial objectives. His friendly disposition allows him to develop meaningful and lasting relationships with clients, co-workers, and personnel at the USPTO. in order to provide services far beyond legal counsel. Mr. Morton received recognition for outstanding service as President of the Student Intellectual Property Law Association while in law school.
